Cash buys upgrades. Speed decides which streets you can rob and still get home. Train it on the treadmill, then spend cash on the treadmill level that matches the route you are failing.
What the treadmill actually does
The training treadmill is in the safe zone. Stay on it. A 25 Sep 2026 build showed about +15 Speed per step and +25 Speed per completed run. A high-level sign read "Upgrade Treadmill (Level 74, Boost x29)". One recorded upgrade added about 13,000 Speed. Those are observations, not a formula for every level. Per-level cash prices are not published. Read your sign.
The shoe icon next to cash is your Speed. If a session "does nothing," check slow mode first. A recorded run where training looked broken, and a large steal then failed, was slow mode left on.
A shop panel has offered "x2 Speed ONLY 2" with a lightning mark. Treat that as a paid offer you can see, not as a required step. Robux treadmill skins are a different purchase from leveling the machine you stand on. The skin list is on the shop guide. The Demonic Treadmill badge, 10,545 awards on 9 Oct 2026, is the rare end of treadmill investment. It is not a day-one goal.
How to spend a training session
- Write down the shoe-icon number.
- Train one uninterrupted stretch on the machine.
- Read the number again. If it did not move, fix slow mode or your position before you buy anything.
- Name the route that failed: too slow on the return, or a requirement you can read at the entrance.
- Buy one treadmill level only when its price matches that problem. Then rerun the same route.
Buying a level and also changing areas and fusing in the same minute hides which choice helped.
Areas and the one printed Speed number
There is no official chart of every zone's Speed. Recorded names, not a guaranteed order, include Grandpa, Jeweler, Archeologist, Celebrity, Pirate Captain (also called pirates cove in a run), Gold Tycoon, Angelic Area, and, in a 2 Oct 2026 playthrough, Astronaut and Demon King.
The pirate area is the only place with a documented on-screen number: "recommended 170,000 speed." Gold Tycoon guides tell you to read the requirement in your own session because they do not have a stable threshold. The Angelic Area was a real headline from 27 Sep 2026. What is inside it, and what Speed it asks for, was still undocumented on 9 Oct 2026.
Art shows a biome ladder of grass, desert sand, candy or purple, and space. Named crates sit on that ladder: Archeologist with sand, Space with the purple space art. That is scenery evidence, not a gate list.
Move up when escapes feel repeatable. Reaching a street is not the same as leaving it with a heavy crate.
Trails
A Trail Shop exists, and the Divine trail badge (24,953 awards on 9 Oct 2026) proves trails are a real reward track. Robux prices for nine trails were listed on 8 Oct 2026, from Blue at 29 to Divine at 1,199. Cash prices and Speed multipliers for those trails were not documented cleanly, and charts that quote a $5,000 Green trail or a 3.5x Golden trail match other steal games. Do not import them. Equip the trail the shop says you bought, or the multiplier you paid for is not the one you are running.
